Salty oxygen,

silence, surrealism, storytelling.

A 3-day writing residency on the island of Aegina, Greece. 07.-11.11.2026

Located at THE AMBER HOUSES, a secluded sanctuary near the sea. The residency invites writers, artists + individuals wishing to connect more with their writing into a shared space.

What we do: write with prompts, lay horizontally in the grass while listening to surrealist stories, experiment with collages and drawing, create poetry and own storytelling with agency. We go after creative blocks and build a tool kit to bring back home.

One session will focus on observing and engaging with animals. An opportunity to feel into natural instinct, explore symbolism and alternative forms of storytelling. Bring carrots for Gucci: a handsome pig who fell off a meat truck years ago – and was raised by the animal sanctuary I collaborate with.

The residency invites you to enter rhythms far off the Metro morning rush: listening and reconnecting with imagination – through ritual, experimentation, nature and collective exchange.

Vegetarian meals will be provided throughout the residency, alongside time for rest, reading, discussions, connecting, and independent writing under olive and pistachio trees.
