Salty oxygen,
silence, surrealism, storytelling.
A 3-day writing residency on the island of Aegina, Greece. 07.-11.11.2026
Located at THE AMBER HOUSE, a secluded sanctuary near the sea, the residency invites writers, artists + individuals who want to get more into writing into a shared space for observation and imaginative practice.
What we do: write with prompts, lay horizontally in the grass while listening to surrealist stories, create collages, poetry, and develop own storytelling with agency.
Vegetarian meals will be provided throughout the residency, alongside time for rest, reading, connecting, and independent writing.
One session will focus on observing and engaging with animals and the natural surroundings as a way to access instinct, symbolism and alternative forms of storytelling, translating behaviour and presence into characters and narrative.
The residency invites to entering rhythms far off the Metro morning rush: listening closely, dissolving creative blockages and reconnecting with imagination – through ritual, nature and collective exchange.
