Melting Brains & Surrealist Girlfriends – The Workshop
next: 30 May 2026, ParisSaturday, 13h - 16h, exact location via DM
A workshop for everyone who wants to get more in flow with their writing.
Why surrealism?
The art form always inspired me to take realities apart; deconstruct and reconstruct. The movement of surrealism encompassed not only visual art, but also text/poetry and emerging from the chaos of (post) World War I in 1920s. Its fragmented imagery much reflects psychological dislocation and trauma. I believe in today's world our ability to connect with our creativity is urgently needed, being overloaded with images, triggers and no time to digest.
We look at works by female and queer surreal artists. Beyond that, I provide a space, tools and inspiration to write, explore, experiment and create together.
Whether it's your new shopping list, a dream diary, a poem - it's about letting go, experimenting, going in flow, creating something with pen & paper (or your keyboard).
No professional writing experience required. You are most welcome as you are. It will be safe, fun and chill. I'm hosting in English – but you can write in the language you feel most comfortable with.
During this workshop you will:
get prompts & tools to get over creative blocks
find a safe space to get into writing
meet a hyena
share dreams, struggles and nightmares
dive into surrealist art
