Why surrealism?
The art form always inspired me to take realities apart; deconstruct and reconstruct. The movement of surrealism embraces not only visual art, but also text/poetry emerging from the chaos of (post) World War I in the 1920s. I believe in today's world our ability to connect with our creativity is urgently needed, being overloaded with images, triggers and no time to digest.
We look at works by women / non binary / queer surreal artists. I provide a space, tools and inspiration to write, explore, experiment and create together.
Whether it's your new shopping list, a dream diary, a poem - it's about letting go, experimenting, going in flow, creating something with pen & paper (or your keyboard).
No professional writing experience required. You are most welcome as you are. It will be safe, fun and chill. I'm hosting in English – but you can write in the language you feel most comfortable with.
During this workshop you will:
get prompts & tools to kill creative blocks
have a safe space to get into writing
meet a hyena
share dreams, struggles and nightmares
be on Surreality TV
let your brain melt
dance with a flea to Careless Whisper
